Jammu, Sept 13: Despite recent clarifications over the functioning of hospital made by Officiating Principal Govt Medical College & Hospital Jammu Dr Aniece Choudary, the days for the college administration yet has not turned good as it once again has lended in tight spot now over alleged bungling worth crores surface in the shape of purchased items.
Though the Medical Superintendent GMC&H Jammu attacked the media for their bias reporting of mismanagement and corruption in GMC&H, but a reply to RTI query vide ref no. AHJ/RTI/2012/37 on 8-3-2012 indicated foul smell.
The RTI was filed by Som Nath Dabgotra a social and political activist asking the Number of beds, Almirahs, Trolleys, Tables, Chairs, Computers etc. in his reply the PIO to GMC& H Jammu stated that detailed lists of the equipments in ground floor of GMC hospital which including Godrej Table T-8 should be 09 Nos, Godrej Table T-9 upto 05, Godrej Revolving stool -03,Godrej PCH-5DO2R -08, Godrej PCH-7202R-06,Godrej Metal perfo 3 seat with arms -05, Godrej Chair PCH-1112 -03, ,Godrej Reception Table Two arc -01,Godrej Table T-104-02, Godrej PCH 7212 R-09, Godrej PCH 5D13-17, Godrej Storwel Plain -01,Godrej Storwel Glass -02, Godrej Storwel Minor -06, Godrej Two door lockers (6 lkrs=1 box+ Addon)- 01, Godrej Examination Table -12, Godrej bed side locker-12, Godrej Chair PCH 1112-12, Godrej Sline Stand -12, Godrej Steel Steps- 12,Godrej Screen- 12, Godrej Wheel chair fixed- 06, Godrej Optimizer 2 way push pull type (16 body) -01, Godrej Emergency resistive trolleys -06 and Godrej Crash Cards -06.
However, reacting over the reply Dabgotra further rejected the tall claims and stated that Block GMCH the furniture which is there is not of Godrej Company as shown in reply. "The Furniture is local made of low quality and any one can check the quantity of furniture which they have mentioned in our RTI reply," said Dabgotra, adding, "furniture is less in both quality and quantity."
"This itself indicates a huge scam in GMCH, he said citing example that even in New Additional Emergency Block Godrej PCH- 7202 R chair should be in CMO'S Room but one finds an ordinary chair.
"If CMO'S Chair is missing from his Room then what about other things in New Additional Emergency Block, said Dabgotra demanding impartial probe by an independent agency said. He also demanded Chief Minister's intervention to detect the scam in the hospital.
Rejecting the advice of Dr Aniece Chowdhary in a letter No. GMC/PS/Anaesth/Ventilator/2314-A to appearing and substantiates case before the three member committee comprising Dr. Tariq Azad, Dr. Smriti Gulati, Dr. Manoj Chalotra regarding the alleged discrepancy of ventilators in Emergency GMCH Jammu, Dabgotra said that Acting Principal is a culprit who damage the career of a youth by operating him wrongly. |
