Azad want to be CM again
9/25/2012 12:35:55 AM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24: Former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad by announcing that he is integral part of the State politics has made his intention clear: he do aspire to be Chief Minister again.
It's for this reason that he is not only constantly coming to State but he is taking more interest in the developments of the Jammu region, which he knows holds political key to the chair of Chief Minister's chair.
The importance of Azad in State's politics was made more clear by Chief Minister on Jan 5 to mark the three-year of his Government, "The elections were held in the name of Dr Farooq Abdullah, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Ghulam Nabi Azad… and I was not in the line itself."
And now that Dr Farooq may not be in political picture in next elections and political fortunes of Omar Abdullah look quite dicey its going to really show off between Mufti Sayeed and Azad.
And if things turned out in way like in last election both will get a chance to rule the State.
Mufti is aiming to get clear majority but Azad by keeping things in loop doesn't want to give free space to him and its for this reason that he has said that he is an integral part of State politics.
An instance of newly elected chairman of Cooperative Bank paying a visit to Azad just after joining PDP shows how things are placed.
Azad has clear game plan. As things stand today, UPA has little chance of coming back to power. And its for this reason that he has kept his eyes on the chair of CM.
PDP also knows it and that's the reason Mufti is harping on political space in Jammu.
Azad had made roads in the Jammu and the way things stand he has build his cadre in Kashmir valley also. He knows by projecting himself as a possible Chief Minister he can keep the cadre especially in Kashmir in high political spirits and build it more also.
Azad has emerged strong political figure and he doesn't want people to always remember that he can be back at the affairs of the Government.
