| GCW organizes Declamation contest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 29: The preliminary round of 3rd Annual Inter-Collegiate (Northern Zone) Declamation contest for Silver Rolling Trophy instituted by Governor NN Vohra was organized by Department of Higher Education at Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar here.
Minister for Higher Education Abdul Gani Malik was the chief guest for the inaugural function. Principal GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Dr. Kiran Bakshi expressed her gratitude to Higher Education Department for holding the Declamation contest in the college.
This event would enhance the creativity and inspire the students to explore new horizons of unlimited knowledge. In the preliminary round participants from various Degree colleges of Jammu province participated.
While addressing the audience in Dogri, Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik, appreciated the initiatives taken by Governor NN Vohra for providing the students valuable platform for sharing their views, transmitting knowledge and displaying of their talent.
In the valedictory Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla, was the chief guest. The Minister congratulated college for the successful conduct of the programme.
Through this the students of the North Zone will benefited as this will be medium of disseminating information and learning amongst the students, he added.
