| Pakistan misled KP youth for vested interests; say surrendered militants | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 20: The majority of Kashmiri youth who crossed over to Pakistan for receiving the arms training during the 1989-90 are up in arms against the neighbouring country which has misled the thousands of Kashmiri youth for its vested interests by showing the green pastures. The Kashmiri youth who managed to return from Pakistan and PoK after remaining there for years together are telling the tales of woes and the problems and harassment faced by them in training camps in neighbouring country. Going through ordeal in Pak camps for years together, these trained militants campaigned door to door pleaded before the youth not to cross over the border for arms training as this in turn will ruin their career as Pakistan ahs misled them for years tighter. Some of these militants while narrating the harrows of Pakistan and the behaviour of its administration plead before the youth to give up the idea of crossing LOC and join the mainstream for the larger interests of the people of state in general and Kashmir Valley in particular. One of the ring leaders of the team who lured himself hundreds of youth to join armed struggle by crossing over to LOC in 1989-90, after his return from PoK has launched a campaign all over the Valley asking the youth not to join the militants ranks. This surrendered militant who visited nook and corner of the Valley informed people that PoK is far behind in development as compared to J&K and hence the people should not lure the youth to join arms training by crossing over to PoK. Regretting his folly of joining militancy the surrendered militant has informed the people the torture they were subjected in PoK training camps by the ISI agents and were totally discriminated. PoK is most under developed area and people should not be misled by the propaganda of ISI agents and Pakistan any more. He has pleaded before the youth not to get misled and instead join the national mainstream as joining militants ranks will lead them no where but put the state on further path of destruction. Sources said earlier the counter insurgency elements like Javed Shah, Kukka Parrey and others have also revolted against militancy by turning the gun against Pak trained militants in the state. Both Javed Shah and Kukka Parrey have taken on Pakistani agents in the state for over a decade. The campaign launched by these surrendered militants has made a large number of KP youth to rethink of joining the militants ranks in view of the propaganda launched by the surrendered militants. |
