| Alert Police takes almost nine month to nab robbers under its nose | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 24: believe it or not the police hierarchy at one hands claims to be active and alert besides looking for new modalities to its contrary the Bagh-e-Bahu Police takes almost nine months to solve a robbery case. Irony of the case here that it boastfully claims through a press statement mentioned the date of event and the solving the case here today.
Police statement issued today stated as per police sources on 01-02-2012 one Anil Puri R/O Jail Road Ambphalla reported with P/S Bagh-e-Bahu that at about 9 pm he along with his fiancée while was going to Batra Hospital he was robbed off by some miscreants driving in a Maruti Car No. JK02AJ/1638 intercepted him and three of unknown persons got down from the Car near NHW near Environment Park snatched his golden chain weighing about 45 grams and fled away from the spot.
"On this complaint a case FIR No. 83/2012 U/S 323/341/382/427/RPC was registered at P/S Bagh-e-Bahu and immediately SDPO East S.S. Sambyal and SHO P/S Bagh-e-Bahu Noor Ahmed under the supervision of Rajeshwar Singh, SP south Jammu conducted raids at various places and succeeded in identifying and arresting one of the accused who was identified as Rashid Ahmed S/o Kalu R/o Ragoora. The statement said that on his disclosure two more accused involved in the crime namely Mohd Yousif S/o Mohd Sadiq R/o Ragoora and Maqbool Ahmed S/o Noor Ahmed R/o Sidhra were also arrested alongwith snatched gold chain weighing 45 grams. The Maruti Car used in the Crime was also recovered from the accused. During investigation it came to light that the accused had used fake number plate on the car so addition of section467/468/471/RPC was made. It also revealed during investigation that all the three accused had just formed a gang to snatch chains and cash from loner driver during night hours.
"With the timely action of the Police this gang was cracked and accused were booked under law, the police statement said but it left majority of jammuites how come the police top brass claims credit of better policing when it takes atleast nine months to solve a simple case of highway robbery where the robbers too were living in an area falling very close to the said Police Station. Here the many sane minds questions the police theory that it recovered the gold chain also but why did they robbed if they kept the same intact even after none months of robbing.
