| NC brass "helpless" to take disciplinary action against Chaacha Kamaal….? | | | early times report Jammu, Nov 24: Chaacha Mustafa Kamaal's fresh remarks against the proposal of grand alliance with Congress in 2014 Assembly polls, has sparked off yet another political controversy with his nephew chief minister Omar Abdullah seems to be helpless lot having no idea which place to "hide". Besides this issue, former Minister and sitting Legislator of National Conference, Dr Mustafa Kamaal has further went ahead in support of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru and has warned Congress headed central government of severe repercussions over any decision taken by centre to hang Guru. This is not for the first time that Chaacha Kamaal has made his nephew Omar Abdullah and his elder brother Dr Farooq Abdullah jittery as in past also, Dr Kamaal has assailed Congress party. He even described Congress stalwart and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad as "sweet poison". Worth to mention here that senior NC leader Dr Mustafa Kamaal had reportedly described India as enemy of Kashmiris. However, despite all such controversial statements, no disciplinary action was taken by party top brass against him. Had it been the case of some other NC leader making such statements, he would have been shown the doors with immediate effect. Dr Mustafa Kamaal's case is "special". Reasons are quite simple as the senior leader in question belongs to Sheikh Abdullah "dynasty". And it shall be of no surprise if NC leaders and workers as well as people of state will see feathers of Dr Kamaal remained un-cut. Even Chief Minister Omar Abdullah could do nothing much against his Chaacha Kamaal except a tweet couple of weeks ago that, "Funny thing is I don't need anyone to make things difficult for me when I have relatives to do it for me. They say never work with animals and children. I think it's safe to add relatives to that list as well." Political observers opined that "one must not expect some big disciplinary action against Dr Mustafa Kamaal as one cannot ignore he too is son of former chief minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah like Dr Farooq Abdullah". "One must not forget the history as during days of 1996 when NC was in power with 2/3rd majority, the then chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah too had many a times castigated Congress and its leadership, which at that time was in opposition both at centre as well as here in the state," pointed political observers further adding that "If Dr Farooq Abdullah can criticize Congress and its leaders then why Dr Mustafa Kamaal should lag behind. The only problem is that at that time NC and Congress were foes and now they (Both Congress and NC) are friends for the time being."
