| LeT militant's confession of savagery caught on tape | | "We tied his hands and beheaded him" | |  Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar, Nov 27: "He was offering Nimaz when we took him away and demanded food--- Later Khurshid and Ishaq tied his hands, Ishaq held his feet and Khurshid beheaded him with sharp edged weapon-" this is the chilling confession of a Lashkar terrorist Abdul Jabbar caught on tape exposing how he and his associates beheaded congress worker Abdul Gani last year for campaigning for Panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jabbar is presently lodged in Kishtwar jail facing trial in killing of Congress worker Abdul Gani Rather of Kwath village in Chatroo Tehsil of Kishtwar District. LeT militant Abdul Jabbar of Kwath was arrested by Kishtwar Police and Army in a joint operation after brief encounter on 20-5-2011. Abdul Jabbar was arrested soon after the terror act while his associates were eliminated by the security forces later.
In his chilling 7 minute 55 second videographed confessional statement available with ET, the dreaded militant narrates sequence of inhuman events in the execution of Congress worker Abdul Gani killed during intervening night of 16th and 17th of May 2011 for campaigning in favour of Congress backed candidate Payre Lal.
In his confessional statement recorded by security forces soon after he was arrested, Abdul Jabbar who joined the LeT militant outfit only few months ago at the time of killing of Congress worker narrates horrifying incidents of beheading Abdul Gani Rather, a father of 6. After working as an OGW for LeT militant outfit for nearly two years, Abdul Jabbar joined active militancy with the help of Khurshid Ahmed in the month of March 2011. He narrates that he along with Khurshid was searching for Guchia ( Morchilas) deep inside the forest when they heard the voice of LeT commander Habib Gujjar alias Salam and Mohammad Ishaq (Now both dead) who were sitting together in open forest pasture. Habib Gujjar offered them biscuits and toffees.
"When we came down from the top of the hill, we found Abdul Gani offering Nimaz on stone. When he finished his Nimaz, Khurshid and Ishaq frisked him and found mobile in his custody which they seized." They asked Abdul Gani to provide them food since they were hungry. We first entered the house of Mohammad Iqbal and after that we went to the house of Abdul Gani for taking food. While Habib sat inside the house of Abdul Gani, I, Ishaq and Khurshid in the mean time went to the other house in the village and returned only after Abdul Gani's wife cooked food for us. After having food, we got an alert from someone who informed us about the movement of security forces in the area and after that they ran away from the spot along with others including Abdul Gani. Since we ran fast and climbed up the mountain in no time, Abdul Gani was left behind with Khurshid and others. After that we called him so as to give him his mobile back and I and Habib than left upwards while Ishaq, Abdul Gani and Khurshid were left behind where they killed Abdul Gani" narrates Abdul Jabbar in the video.
Jabbar informed the interrogators about the Lashker plans to kill more civilians and target democratic process by branding them as informer. Before they could succeed in their ugly design, Troops of 11 RR, police and CRPF in joint operation eliminated three of Lashkar ultras while Jabbar was apprehended. Jabbar in his confessional statement also names few villagers whom they had planned to kill for being informers of Security forces.
It is worthwhile to mention that after having meals ... the terrorists forcibly took Gani along with them. When wife and children tried to stop them from doing so, These Lashker terrorists thrashed them with rifle butts and told family members that despite their warning, Abdul Gani was campaigning for Panchayat elections ... And now they are going to punish him for not listening to their diktat. Next morning when Gani's family along with other villagers started search, they were shocked to find beheaded body of Abdul Gani lying in a nearby area.
Even hours after Abdul Gani was beheaded his wife and children braving Lashker terrorist's threat came out to vote.
