JAMMU, Dec 4: Jammu police today booked Has-eeb Tramboo and his fath-er's Personal Security Offi-cer (PSO) Riyaz Ahmed for creating panic in the premises of Food Corporation of India (FCI).
"Haseeb Tramboo son of Zafar Tramboo, resident of sector 7 Channi Himmat and cop Riyaz Ahmed were booked under 3/25 arms act. Both were booked by Trikuta Nagar police," a senior police officer said. Though both were booked after two days of the incident, a senior police officer, in police defense said that the case against them were registered after police verified about actual possession of the gun.
Pertinently, on December 1, Haseeb Tramboo accompanied by his father's PSO entered into the FCI premises in Bahu Plaza and pulled out latter's weapon threatening the other claimants to desist from participating in the tendering. Before the police present on the occasion could have got into the action, Tramboo waived the gun in the open and charged other members present on the spot. Police overpowered the culprit, Haseeb Tramboo and his father's PSO. But the two could not be arrested due to the pandemonium in the hall of the FCI. They could recover the weapon.
Meanwhile, Channi Himmat police is also waiting for the report from ballistic expert to reach on the conclusion whether the shoot out incident at the residence of the Tramboo was in reality or a drama. If the police sources are to be believed police is all set to lodge FIR against Kashmir based businessman and one of the leading contractors of Food Cooperation of India Haseeb Ahmad Tramboo and his two PSOs for framing drama, misleading statement to the police and creating panic among people in the posh locality, a highly placed police source said.
He said that, Tramboo is likely to be booked as evidence collected so far goes against the statement he gave to the police in his complaint. "Though report from ballistic expert is awaited, but as per
preliminary investigation the wall pierced bullets, collected revealed that they were fired from inside the residence of the Tramboo and not outside. All the bullets are of AK 47 rifle, the weapons allotted to his two PSOs Ashiq Hussain and Raiyaz Ahmed, he said, further adding
the evidence reveals something fishy ."Morever, the statements recorded from his neighbours also go against his statement.
Pertinently, unidentified gunmen fired upon the house of a valley basedbusinessman Haseeb Ahmad Tramboo at Sector 7 Channi Himmat Jammu during the intervening night of 1st and 2nd December., Tramboo in hispolice statement has said that his house was attacked by some unidentified persons. "It was around 12:30 mid night. I heard some gunshots and called my PSO's who were on the 2nd floor. One of the PSO retaliated firing from 2nd floor of house while another took position in the ground floor, both (PSO's) shot several rounds", said Tramboo.
He said that PSO's had witnessed the movement of two gunmen who were running away after retaliation from them (PSO's). "The gunmen couldn't be identified in the darkness", added Tramboo. On his statement police lodged open FIR in this connection under section 307 RPC.Police also
detained the weapons of PSOs and sent the same to the FSL as a part of investigation.
