Govt teacher booked for beating student in Rajouri

Jammu, Dec 7 : A teacher of a government school has been booked for allegedly beating a girl student in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, police here today said.
"A nine-year-old girl student was this morning admitted in a district hospital after she was allegedly beaten by her teacher Dheeraj Kumar, resident of Muradpur," a senior police official here told UNI. He said the girl is a student of Government Middle School, Najeri in Rajouri district.
"The victim said that she got late to reach the school following which the teacher beat her and she suffered a fracture in her hand," he added. "A case has been registered and manhunt is on to apprehend the absconding teacher," the official said.
