Kishtwar Dec 7:- The BJP and Imam Jamia Masjid, Kishtwar have locked horns over blasphemy case that rocked the district on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha last month. The Imam has threatened agitation if the three youth arrested for uploading blasphemous material on the social networking website Face book were enlarged on bail. However, on the other hand the BJP has warned the administration of dire consequences if the arrested youth were not released immediately.
The arrested youth who are detained in Kishtwar jail field a bail application through their counsel. The application will come up for hearing on December 12.
The Imam of Jamia Masjid, Farooq Ahmad Kichloo while delivering the Friday sermon today threatened agitation if who also heads the Majlis-e-Shora warned against release of the arrested youth without proper enquiry. “If the three youths were released without any inquiry, the people of whole Kishtwar District will come on roads and the responsibility will be upon the administration”, he said.

Meanwhile Advocate Rajesh Sharma, counsel of the three accused said that his clients were innocent and deserve to be released with immediate effect. “Police have no evidence against my clients as was required under section 66-A and 67-A IT Act” added Rajesh Sharma. He hoped that his clients will get bail as and when his bail application comes up for hearing.
It is pertinent to mention that the trio are facing charges under section 153-A, 295-A RPC, 66-A, 67-A IT Act and was presently in jail after all the three were arrested by the police on 30-10-2012 from Chatroo. The incident sparks a massive public outrage and thousands of people in entire Chenab valley comes on streets to protest the blasphemous act condemn by one and all in one voice including by the members of minority community.
