| Chaman Lal Gupta cautions against troop withdrawal from Doda | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 7 : Former Union Minister and MLA Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has cautioned the authorities both in the State and the centre against the lowering of guards especially in the militancy infected areas under certain pulls and pressures. Responding to the concern of certain activists that CRPF companies are being removed from sensitive areas like those of erstwhile Doda District, Mahore and other places, Prof. Gupta said that these areas had always been the target of the elements operating from within as also across the borders to disturb peace and tranquility for their nefarious ends. More so, the migrants from these areas are still in camps and far away from their places facing many problems, the removal of the forces even without their return and rehabilitation, sounds strange, rather an ill conceived move. He added and stressed that before removal of the forces the first and foremost measure should be the rehabilitation of the migrants to their places. Prof. Gupta also pointed out that it is being officially confirmed that there are over still 42 training camps of the ultras and about three thousand persons are undergoing trainings in subversive and terror spreading activities in Pak/POK needs serious efforts to strengthen the security measures and confidence of the people to meet any challenge instead of reduction in the security grid ignoring the ground realities. |
