Jammu, Dec 7 : A seminar on breast feeding was organised by Inner Club Jammu in collaboration with Home Science Department Government College for Women Parade here on today. Dr. Shivani the chief resource person spoke about the nutritive, emotional and social values of breast feeding in the present scenario. Dr. Santosh Gupta spoke about the aims, objectives and activities of Inner Wheel Club. Principal of the College Dr. Hemla Aggarwal presided over the function. Dr Aruna Dubey from Home Science department formally welcomed the chief guest, participants and other dignitaries. A symposium "Importance of breast feeding in presence scenario" was also held, wherein Ashima Sharma, Ashima Gupta and Diksha Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively. Consolation prizes were given to Pooja Sambyal and Pragya Gupta. Prominent amongst those present were president and secretary of Inner Wheel, Rajni Jain and Sangeeta Jain, Radhika Sharma, Daljeet Kour, Prabha Jain, Meena Jaggi. |
