RAMBAN, Dec 7 : Ramban Police arrested two persons and recovered 74 pouches of liquor from their possession in two different incidents.
Following a specific input police laid a naka at Magarkote, Ramsoo and intercepted a person namely Romesh Singh S/o Punjab Singh R/o Ahma, Tehsil Banihal, District Ramban and recovered 37 pouches (250 ml each) of J&K Excise from his possession.
Yet in another similar incident the police party also intercepted another person at Magerkote namely Mohinder Singh S/o Sre Chand R/o Ahma, Banihal carrying 37 pouches of J&K Excise (250 ml each).
Both the accused were arrested, seized 74 pouches of liquor and a case FIR No. 80/2012, 81/2012, U/S 48 (A) Excise Act, stands registered at Police Station Ramsoo. |
