JAMMU, Dec 10: The deadly spells from the duo of Parvez Rasool and Manik Gupta today snatched the victory from the clutches of Kerala after they together bowled out the whole side for 129 runs in 40.4 overs on the third day of the four-day Group-C Ranji tie at Perintalmanna Cricket Stadium, Malappuram in Kerala.
Both Parvez and Manik shared five wickets each to turn the tables against Kerala thus secured all six points. Now, the J&K points tally has gone up to 15 out of two wins and a draw.
Earlier, likewise first innings, J&K could not do well in their second innings and lost all their wickets for 151 runs in 59.4 overs to set a 203 runs target for Kerala to chase, thanks to 52 runs first innings lead.
However, the bowlers rose on the occasion and plotted the early dismissal of Kerala to make it a second consecutive away win with first being against Assam.
Resuming their inning from overnight score of 68 for three, Ian lost wicket adding just three runs to his individual score of 37. However, Parvez Rasool (21) and wicket-keekper bastman, O Haroon (32) as also Mohd Mudhasir (19) and Hardeep Singh (17) put in some extra efforts to help surpass 150 runs mark.
