| 4 inter district bovine smugglers held, 3 vehicles with 22 animals seized | | |

Udhampur, Dec 10: Police have arrested four inter district bovines smugglers on the intervening night of 09/10-12-2012 at Kud and seized 22 bovine animals besides seizing three vehicles used for the said crime.
With these arrests Udhampur Police on the directions of Addl SP Udhampur Benam Tosh have apprehended total 7 notorious bovine Smug-gler's within 72 hours with 33 bovine animals by organizing surprising nakas at various places along National Highway during odd hours at night.
Police spokesperson said that the arrested bovine smuggler during the previous night have been identified as Abdul Rehman S/o Gulam Mohd R/o Gangara, Udhampur, Majid Ahmed S/o Mohd Iqbal R/o Kheri Udham-pur, Fayaz Ahmed S/o Amin Mohd R/o Kheri Udhampur and Mohd Shafi S/o Sher Mohd R/o Chankerkot, Ramban.
During the special naka vehicles with registration No JK-02R/8459 and JK-19/0920 were intercepted by the alert police Naka party at Kud and on their search 4 bovine Smug-gler's have been arrested while smuggler's guides travelling in Maruti Car with Registration No. JK-14B/7777 have also been apprehended. A case under FIR No. 122/2012 U/S 188/RPC, 3 P.C.A Act has been registered at P/S Kud.
