Kathua, Dec 27: A lecture on health awareness was organised by NSS units of Government Degree College here as a part of series of activities during ongoing "NSS Seven Day's Special Camp." Block Medical Officer, Nagri Parole (Kathua), Dr Raj Kumar was the chief guest and resource person on the occasion. He apprised the NSS volunteers and the villagers about various government health schemes under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). Dr Kumar assured the people that they would organise a health camp at Nihalpur. The villagers discussed various health problems with him. A cultural programme was also performed by the volunteers. 80 NSS volunteers and large number of villagers were present on the occasion. The programme was organized under the guidance of NSS programme officers Prof Raj Kiran, Dr Suram Singh and Prof Naresh Sharma. |
