| JKDF condemns use of force on ReT teachers, EVs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 27: JKDF President Anil Gupta Thursday strongly condemned the use -of force on Rahber-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers and Education Volunteers (EVs) during the protests in support of their demands. In a statement Gupta alleged that the government deliberately used force to suppress the voice of people. "Such use of brutal force is an attempt to bar the people to exercise their democratic rights in a peaceful manner. JKDF has several times projected the demands of ReTs and other such contractual employees who are being exploited for Rs 1500 per month despite high qualifications," he said. "We demand for enhancement of their honorarium, timely regularization including unemployment allowance for the youths till they are absorbed in jobs. But our voice has also been suppressed by use of brutal force," Gupta alleged. He expressed his sympathies with those who were injured during the protests and assured his full support to the struggle of ReT's for their rights. |
