Jammu, Dec 27: Former Union Minister and MLA, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta today formally inaugurated a Park at Ward No. 37, Janipur. The park has been renovated and developed by Jammu Municipal Corporation at the cost of Rs. 5 lakh. The park was dedicated to public in presence of hundreds of people including ward residents and senior JKDF activists. Locals expressed their gratitude to Prof. Gupta for his endeavor of taking personal interest in development of Park. On the occasion local inmates of ward no 37 presented their various demands and representations regarding scarcity of drinking water, electricity , providing of benches and chairs for various parks etc… While responding to people queries Prof. Gupta Said, " The foremost priority is being given to the basic amenities like smooth supply of water, electricity and rations etc. He will take up the matter with the authorities so that the people may not suffer for want of these basic amenities of life. Referring to developmental works of various parks in Jammu West Constituency Prof. Gupta Said, " Out of 117 Parks of Janipur area , developmental and renovation works in 20 parks is in progress and will be soon completed to make these available for public utility. In various wards of Jammu West Constituency 14 big parks have been renovated and developed with the help of Floriculture Department , Forest Department, JDA and Municipality. These parks are Nagrota Park at Karan Nagar, Park at Krishana Nagar, Environment Park at Pamposh Colony etc. |
