Jammu, Dec 27: Bhartiya Chaitanya Party (BCP) organized a protest against the Delhi police for targeting innocent protestors and slapping murder charges against them for the death of constable Tomar. State President of BCP Dr H R Sharma today said after that the statement of the eyewitness Pauline and Yogendra yesterday, it has become clear that constable tomar was not hit by the protestors. "But the post mortem report says that he had five external injuries and his ribs were also broken. How this contradiction has cropped up?," he asked. "Thus, it is very surprising that the Delhi Police have slapped the murder charges against eight protestors including the member of Aam Admi Party, BCP state president said further adding, "The million dollar question here arises why didn't the Delhi Police contacted the eye witnesses Pauline and Yogendra earlier (even when they had left their phone no., address etc) before booking the eight men for the murder charge. He alleged that Delhi police trying to use the death constable to mar the protests and at the same time targeting the rivals of the political party in power." Besides using force upon peaceful protestors, he said and added, " Delhi police reportedly had tried to influence the statement of the victim girl which the SDM New Delhi has complained to Chief Minister. BCP demands that the murder charges against those eight men removed and govt should amend the law relating to rape making the crime punishable with death by making appropriate changes in IPC and CrPC.
