| Post Pulwama Encounter: Curfew continues in town Pulwama | | | Early Times report
Srinagar, Dec 29: After some civilians got injured yesterday in Chandgam-Babgam in clashes between security forces and youth, the curfew which was imposed remained strictly imposed in main town Pulwama on the second consecutive day today. According to the Government statements, due to violent protest demonstrations which took place in Chandgam-Babgam and in main town Pulwama yesterday which resulted in injuries to more than twelve civilians, District authorities had to impose curfew strictly in the area to maintain law and order. Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Shafat Noor has ordered a magisterial probe into the security forces firing incident which according to locals of the area resulted in minor and severe injuries to some civilians. The official statement issued in this regard reads that the enquiry shall be conducted by Additional District Magistrate Pulwama who has been asked to furnish the report within a period of 15 days. On the other hand on the instructions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Asgar Samoon the Secretary Regional Red Cross Committee distributed Rs 15000 among the injured persons who are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Srinagar. |
