Anantnag, Dec 29: A local court here on Satu-rday convicted two persons accused of kidnapping and murder of a businessman.
District and Session Judge Anantnag Abdul Rashid Malik convicted the two accused ten years after committing the crime. The deceased businessman, Mukhtar Ah-mad of Dangarpora Ana-ntnag was kidnapped by the accused Fayaz Ahmad Shah and Syed Bhat on 10 October 2003 and later killed brutally.
The Public Prosecutor, Abbas Hamid Dar recalled that on October 10, 2003, the victim was kidnapped by the duo and later his body was recovered from Kanelwan Bijbehara.
He said that accused duo was convicted under Section 302, 364, 34 PRC for kidnapping and murder. The final judgment of the case will be annou-nced by the court on 31 December 2012.
