| NSF concerned over missing adolescent girls | | | Early Times report
Jammu, Dec 29: The President of National Sikh Front Kulwant Singh Bhatti expressing concerns over the missing of adolescent girls reported from different parts of the state questioned silence by police authorities local Administration and even the state legislature. While interacting with the media persons he said that parents of such girls hailing from Jammu district have complained that their daughter did not come back to their homes. Taking serious note of this NSF Chief warned the govt especially police department to rise to the occasion otherwise face the agitation by the people. Citing one such example he said, "a young girl (namely Daljeet Kour D/o S. Balwant Singh) was allegedly forced to leave her home in village Hansa of Tehsil R.S.Pura while her other family member were asleep at midnight.' "In 2nd case Shalu Chowdhary D/o Chaman Lal of Raipur Satwari was allegedly lifted by goondas when she was away in fields while reported to local police in proper manner but justice was not dispensed to the aggrieved families, he added. Bhatti further said that such like many more cases have taken place in other parts of the state also. |
