Challan produced against accused serving against 'fake documents'

Jammu, Dec 29: Crime Branch Jammu today produced challan against the accused persons in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua for their alleged involment in serving against fake and forged date of birth certificates by way of fraudulent means.
Crime Branch spokesperson said that in a case registered against FIR No.08/2011 u/s 420, 465,466,467,468, 471/RPC P/S Crime Branch, Jammu produced challan against the accused persons identified namely as Abdul Qayoom S/o Mohd Abdullah R/o Lowang Tehsil Bani Distt Kathua and Bashir Ahmed S/o Mohd. Abdullah R/o Lowang Tehsil Bani Distt Kathua in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua today for their alleged preparation of fake and forged date of birth certificates by way of fraudulent means to achieve their vested gains. According to the facts of the case crime branch following a complaint alleging therein above three persons have managed fake qualification certificates. "Manzoor Ahmed who is younger to Bashir Ahmed and Ab Qayoom has retired from Govt service, but the other two elder brothers are still serving in their respective departments etc, the complainant alleged. During the course of investigation, all the records related to the case were collected from various offices and got compared through FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) and it was found that on the basis of fake certificates, both the employees served for excess period in their departments, thus causing loss to the tune of Rs10,72,274/- in all to the State exchequer. Both the accused have been challaned for judicial determination and next date of hearing in the case has been fixed on Jan 03.
