early times report JAMMU, Dec 29: Asserting that there was no dearth of talent among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir; the Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today emphasized the need to channelize youth energy in a positive way. This was stated by the Minister while addressing a large gathering at a 6th annual day function of K C International School, here today. The Minister said that the Government has prioritized education sector adding that Government has opened scores of new schools with a resolve to take education at peoples door step. He said Government run schools have well qualified staff and better infrastructure and appealed parents to send their children to these schools for their better future. The Minister asked the teaching fraternity to impart moral education to the students adding that moral education was the first step towards spiritual education. He said a teacher has to become a role model for the student and shaping their destiny in a positive manner. He said teacher's role was not only to teach but to make the students the best and the ideal citizens of the society. A teacher is a friend, guide, helper and advisor of the students, he added. The students of the school on the occasion presented colourful cultural programmes.
