early times report Kathua, Dec 28: A lecture on "Role of banking in upgradation of Society" was organised by the NSS unit of Government Degree College here as a part of the series of activities during ongoing "NSS Seven Day's Special Camp." The guests and resource persons on the occasion were Sardari Lal and Avtar K Choudhary from J&K Bank, main branch, Kathua. They made the volunteers and villagers aware about various schemes of the Bank from which they can be benefited. The resource persons also advised the volunteers to aware the people about these schemes. They stressed upon the loan facilities that banking sector provides for the achievement of higher goals by the students. 80 NSS volunteers and large numbers of villagers were present on the occasion. The programme was organized under the guidance of NSS Programme officers Prof Raj Kiran, Dr Suram Singh and Prof Naresh Sharma. |
