Jammu, Dec 29: Members of the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board today inspected various facilities provided to pilgrims along the holy cave shrine nestled in Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir.
They also inspected several infrastructural development activities along the pilgrimage track during their day-long exercise, an official spokesman said.
After paying obeisance at the cave shrine, the team inspected the re-modeling work undertaken in the outer cave area which included replacement of worn-out marble tiles and modification of the queue system. The Board members inspected the exit route, which had recently been completed, and hoped this would help decongest the Bhawan area.
They also took stock of several projects including construction of Parvati Bhawan and a pony shed.
On arrival at Katra, the base camp for the pilgrimage, the members first inspected the under-construction Sports Stadium.
Later, they visited Kakriyal to review the progress of construction of the Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence.
