One held with country made pistol in city 12/29/2012 11:41:48 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 29: Police today arrested a person and recovered a country-made pistol from him when the accused was caught at the nakka erected at Raghunath Bazaar. Police sources said the police had erected a naka at Ragunath Bazar Chowk and on suspicion asked a person for checking but despite of complying to police order, the youth fled towards Gujjar Nagar area. He was chased upon by the police and finally overpowered him. During his frisking, the police recovered one country-made pistol from his possession. The arrested has been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Happy son of Jagdish Singh of Ganga Nagar,Bantlab. The accused revealed during questioning he was going to kill a person in Ragunath Bazaar who took credit from him and refused to pay back. He further confessed that he arranged a country made pistol on the payment of Rs 35000/-. Police is interrogating him the source fromwhere he got the illegal weapon.
