Bootlegger held, manhunt on to nab another 12/29/2012 11:42:26 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, Dec 29: Police today seized 81 nips of J&K Excise Liquor in two separate raids at different places at Dayala Chack / Basholi area and arrested one bootlegger while another one managed to escape, police sources said. According to reports Police while on patrolling/checking at Dayala Chack area, halted one person identified namely as Parveen Gupta S/O Dev Raj Gupta R/O Chan Rorian managed to escape after throwing a bag. During the search of bag police recovered 39 nips of J&K Excise Liquor. A case FIR No. 194/2012 u/s 48-A Excise Act stands registered at PS Hiranagar. A man hunt has been launched to arrest the accused. Meanwhile Police on specific information apprehended one person namely Bishan Dass S/O Jeeta R/O Bhoond Morha Kot. During his personal search police recovered 42 nips of J&K Excise liquor from his possession.
