| Traffic woes increasing in Kathua | | |  early tiems report
Kathua, Jan 4: Gone are the days when car and two wheeler's parking was no problem in kathua.
There were very few cars or two wheelers in general in the town in past. It was commonly seen that the general public had very spacious and large houses even the streets and road size was also spacious and wide. In those days, parking on roads was not as restricted and parking in front of govt offices was not prohibited. But now with the boom in the production of cars and two wheelers has reduced parking space, and a myriad of confusing rules and regulations of traffic in the town like kathua created a biggest trouble for the people.
A local car owner said that it has become mandatory to think about the parking places before car taking out and other side to think about which road would choose to drive the car or motorcycle, because it is the biggest problem for we people in kathua because the roads and alternative roads could not be developed till date. The administration and the local politicians have never made a comprehensive and solid approach on the issue of infrastructural and road development of kathua town.
The administration and politicians have constantly proved inactive and non serious towards the development of these four roads of kathua as alternative road in order to reduce the huge traffic burden and wrong parking in Kathua.
The other side is the speeding and rash driving of Matadors, Buses, Motorcycles, Cars and any Auto rickshaw s on these narrow and congested roads, no proper speed checking and no measures were adopted to check the rough and rash driving of any vehicles or motors, except to harass the common scooter or motorcycle drivers on the name of tripling, lack of helmets, or any others by the police or traffic police. |
