| APMCC to launch 2nd phase of fast-unto-death | | | early times report Jammu, Jan 4: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) is all set to launch second phase of agitation on its six-point charter of demands at Porbandar in Gujarat on January 30 for which the organisation has mustered wide support from all over India. In a statement issued here, National Spokesp-erson of the APMCC Rao Narender Singh said that the organisation has got wide raging support from various Hindu as well as other organisations all over India during the team APMCC's India tour recently. Singh claimed that the tour of awakening undertaken by Chairman Vinod Pandit, senior journalist King C Bharati and social activist Sandeep Bhat incharge Kashmir APMCC has been very successful and productive as they got assurances from several social political and religious leaders cutting across the party lines for the organisations "Chalo Porbandar" programme on January 30. Giving details of the tour undertaken by the three leaders Singh said that the leaders from socio-politico-religious spectrum have supported the agitation of APMCC and pledged their whole hearted moral and physical support at Porbandar on January 30. He said that thousands of people were expected to join the agitation at Porbandar and appealed the masses of Jammu and Kashmir particularly Kashmiri Pandits, Jammuites and civil society of Kashmir to join the genuine struggle of APMCC at Porbandar by physically being present there. The demands according to the statement include dialogue with Pakistan for facilitating visit to Shardha Peeth in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), establishment of Shardha Peeth University in J&K, probe into the multi-crore temple/shrines land encroachment in J&K, passing of the pending Temples and Shrines Bill for J&K in Legislative Assembly, one time compensation for over-aged youth and special employment package for Non-Migrant Hindus of Kashmir Valley. |
