Jammu, Jan 10: Today was the last date for filling of nomination papers for the election of office bearers for the two years of Bar Association Jammu.
According to the Returning Officer BAJ, Sr. Adv BS Slathia two candidates have filed their nomination for the post of President namely Sr. Adv MK Bhardwaj and Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi.
For the post of Vice President Six Candidates namely Adv Amrit Sarin, Adv S Sandeep Singh, Adv Rupak Ratta, Adv Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Adv Sindu Sharma and Adv Chader Bhan Singh Salathia have filed papers.
For the post of General Secretary three nomination papers were filed namely Adv Ranjit Singh Jamwal, Adv Vishal Sharma and Adv Monika Kohli. For the post of Joint Secretary five Advocates namely Deepak Basak, Prem Sadhotra, Ram Mohammad, MS Qureshi and Bhanu Partap Singh filed papers. Whereas for the post of Cashier two Advocates namely Kovid Khosla and S Gurveer Singh filed their papers.
According to the returning Officer the scrutiny of nomination papers which he held on January 12, 2013 and last date of withdrawal of nomination papers would be January 15, 2013. If required elections will be held on February 9, 2013. |
