early times report Jammu, Jan 16: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised a 2-day painting competition here in which 300 students in the age group of six to 22 years participated. First prize of Rs 800 in senior group was won by Himanshu Dogra of Shiksha Niketan School while second prize of Rs 600 was bagged by Balbir Singh of Army Public School Miran Sahib and three equal prizes of Rs 300 each went to Chansi Khar of Abhay Higher Secondary School, Anjali Siwach and Simrandeep Kour of Goenka Public School. The certificates of merit went to Simran Chouhan of Co-Operative Public High School, Muskan Koul of Air Force School, Mrinal Raina of Heritage School, Urja Zutshi of MHAC Nagbani and Abhijit of K S Public School. In amateur group first prize of Rs 1000 was won by Saira Choudhary of GCW Gandhi Nagar, second prize of Rs 800 by Anoop Singh of Heritage School while third prize of Rs 600 by Nalini Rakwal of GCW Gandhi Nagar. The certificates of merit were also awarded to Parabjot Bali, Shubham Dogra of Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School, Shilpa Thapa, Sasmita Kumari of Indira Sagar Institute of Education and Research, Sipaj Jain, Surbhi Sharma and Tavishi Jain of GCW Gandhi Nagar. Noted artists Vikas Khajuria and Satpal Deol were the adjudicators while Dr Sudhir Mahajan coordinated the programme. |
