CB books two persons, Govt officials for fraud/cheating

Jammu, Jan 16: The Crime Branch has registered a criminal case against two persons along with some government officials for their alleged involvement in offences of cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy.
The official spokesperson that Crime Branch, Jammu has registered a criminal Case FIR No. 01/2013 u/s 419, 420, 423, 465, 466, 467, 468, 120-B RPC r/w section 5(2) P.C Act Svt. 2006. against Amit Goel S/o Romesh Chander Goel of 90/3, Channi Himmat, Jammu, Majid Farid Shapoo S/o Farid Ahmed Shapoo R/o Mohalla Pasri Tehsil Bhaderwah, District Doda, at present Chow-adhi, Jammu and some Govt officials for their involvement in the offences of cheating, fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy.
"Brief facts of the case are that following a complaint lodged by Deep Kumar S/o Manohar Lal R/o Bahu Fort, Jammu wherein the complainant had alleged that the accused Amit Goel had executed fake and fictitious Power of Attorney in the court by way of impersonation in order to usurp the land of the complainant," spokesp-erson said.
'The further investigation of the case is in progress,' he added.
