HC restrains filling-up posts of Laboratory Technician

Jammu, Jan 16 (JNF): In a petition filed by Subash Chander Heer challenging the direct recruitment for the post of Laboratory Assistant in Health (Drug & Food Organization Dept), Vacation Judge of J&K High Court Jammu Wing Justice Hasnain Massodi today after hearing CM Koul appearing for the petitioner issued notice to the respondents, also issued noticed in the CMA returnable within two weeks and in the meantime process of filling-up of posts of laboratory Assis-tants in the Health (Drug & Food Organization) Dept shall not be finalized till next date of hearing.
In the petition, the petitioner challenged the advertisement notice on the ground that the since the posts have been advertised by the Health (Drug & Food Organization) Dept, the same are requ-ired to be filled up accordance with SRO 20 and not in accordance with draft rules.
The petitioner is eligible to promoted to the post of Laboratory Technician, advertising of the posts to be filled-up by the direct recruitment extinguishes the right of the petitioner to be promoted to the post of Laboratory Assistant.
