early times report JAMMU, Jan 24: A colourful full and vibrant dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration was conducted in the winter capital of the State today. Hundreds of school students attired in traditional dress besides security personals participated in the Republic Day. The Divisional Commis-sioner, Jammu, Pardeep Gupta and Director General of Police, Ashok Prasad inspected the march past. The contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, IRP, Auxiliary Police, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K Forest Prote-ction Force NCC cadets, schools and others participated in the march past. Directorate of School Education, Jammu Muni-cipal Corpor-ation, NRHM, Drugs and Food Control Organization and J&K Forest Department also displayed their tableau's depicting their functioning and achievements. Students from various government and private schools presented cultural programme while the dare devil team of J&K Police performed acts which kept the audience spell bound. Among others, ADGP Armed/Law & Order Jammu K. Rajindra Kumar, IGP Jammu Dilbag Singh, DIG Jammu J. P. Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma, and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. |
