Various Schools celebrate Republic Day

Jammu, Jan 24: ASN Higher Secondary School Channi Himmat today celebrated Republic Day. On the occasion Minister for Planning & Development and Labour & Employement, Ajay Sadhotra was the Chief Guest and Retd IG Railway A.Q. Manhas presided over the function. Tri-Colour was hoisted by the Chief Guest on the occasion followed by National Anthem and march-Past presented by the patrol of students which was highly impressive.
Tiger ASHA School: The celebration started with national flag hoisting by the Principal Mrs Nilima Mishra while the children sang the national anthem in a chorus. A beautiful cultural programme by the children was organised by their teacher Rita and Gurucharan. The children sang and danced on patriotic songs. Post Graduate college of Education: on the eve of 64th Republic day cultural programme was held by the NSS unit of the Post Graduate college of Education. The Chief Guest of the function Prof. Dr. Kaushal Samotra, Principal of the college threw light on the importance of Republic Day. She encouraged the students to revive the spirit of Nationalism and Patriotism in them, so as to work for the betterment of the Nation. JK Montessorie School: JK Montessorie School today celebrated Republic Day. The programme started with the unfurling of a national flag followed by march past by contingents of various houses. Managing Director Sanjeev Gupta, Academic Director Rajni Gupta and Vice Principal Geeta Dixit were present on the occasion. Air Force School: Air Force School Jammu celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor. Air Commodore P.E Patange, Air officer Commanding, Air force Station Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. The chief guest also distributed sweets among the students. Students of the school, attired in colorful costumes, presented mesmerizing dances and songs on patriotic theme.Mother Care Kids Club: on the occasion of Republic day students of the school presented colourful variety programmes and displayed their talent.
The Principal of the School, Shalini Mahajan paid tributes to the architect of Indian Constitution which made India as Secular, Democratic, Socialist Republic and largest democracy in the World. Army Public School Akhnoor: 64th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Army Public School Akhnoor. Brig AK Verma Chairman hoisted the flag. He advised students to work hard and make your country proud and corruption free.
