| One day awareness camp, workshop organized | | | early times report
UDHAMPUR, Jan 24: One day awareness camp cum workshop of Handicrafts Artisans and Members of Cooperative Societies of District Udhampur was held today at Panchyat Ghar Garrain- Kalan in Teshil Chenani of District Udhampur.
The Camp was organized by Deputy Registrar Induscos, Jammu with the collaboration of industrial Cooperative Societies of District Udhampur
As many as 130 participants from the village Garrain - Kalan and surrounding area were also present in the awareness camp.
The main objective for organizing such camps cum workshops is to educate and aware the Artisans, members, participants of the industrial Cooperative. Societies and masses in generally especially the women folk about the various welfare schemes launched by the state and central government.
While speaking on the occasion, Dy Registrar Induscos, Jammu, Sarwar Hussian highlighted the various schemes of Handicrafts department and impressed upon the participants and artisans to avail the benefits projected in the schemed.
Besides, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Tilak Raj was also present in the camp who elucidated on the various schemes of the Social welfare department.
On this occasion, Handicrafts Training Officer, Padam Dev Singh, AHTO, Om Prakash Sharma were also present.
The people of the area appreciated the efforts of the Department for organizing such camps and hoped that such camp will be organized in near future for the benefit artisan community.
