| CB books cheaters, fraudsters | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 4: Crime Branch (CB), Jammu has registered a criminal case against seven persons and officials of the Custodian/ Revenue Departments for hatching a criminal conspiracy and preparation of fake and fabricated Revenue documents/Power of Attorney by way of fraudulent means. According to sources, a complaint was lodged by complainant Manmohan Singh R/o H. No. 42/43 Sector-5, Nanak Nagar, Jammu alleging therein that he had purchased a piece of land measuring 7 Kanal and 4 marlas from one Mehar Singh through his attorney Surinder Singh, however, the accused persons Dr. Narinder Sharma and his son Varun Sharma while encroaching upon the adjacent Government land measuring 4 kanal and 11 marlas had also encroached upon the front portion of land of the complainant measuring 9 marlas. On receipt of this complaint, a personal verification was initiated and during the course of enquiry it was found that Kuldeep Singh and Prem Nath son of Sham Dass of Gadigarh, Jammu with malafilde intentions hatched a criminal conspiracy with other accused persons including Sohan Singh son of Puran Singh of Lower Gadigarh, Jammu, Sultan Mohd. son of Shah Mohd. of Jhanda, Samba, Kartar Raj son of Devi Singh of Yogpur, Samba, Balwan Singh son of Inder Singh of Palanwala, Akhnoor, Dr. Narinder Kumar Sharma son of Rattan Chand of Tarore, Tehsil and District Samba, Varun Sharma son of Dr. Narinder Sharma in connivance of the officials of the Custodian/Revenue Departments and got prepared fake/fabricated revenue documents/Power of attorneys by resorting to fraudulent means in order to usurp the State/ Custodian land thereby causing wrongful loss to the complainant and state and wrongful gain to themselves. On this a formal case was registered against the accused persons under FIR No. 04/2013 u/s 420, 423, 465, 466, 467,468,471, 120-B/RPC r/w section 5(2) P.C. Act Svt. 2006.
