15 RTI applications denied information | Minister, Director assure action Shopian NRHM scam | | Javaid Naikoo Jammu, Jan 4: To hush up the matter of selection of candidates on dubious certificates, office of the Chief Medical Officer Shopian denied information to 15 rights to information (RTI) applications regarding the selection of candidates under NRHM for health society Shopian. According to the data available, after not seeing their name in the selected list of candidates, the dropped candidates filed more than fifteen RTI applications besides several other applications to Chief Medical Officer ,Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Chief Secretary Civil Secretariat J&K Jammu and to the Inspector General of Police criminal investigation department Kashmir wing for inquiry in to the matter of selection of candidates under NRHM mission, but until now no information was given to the dropped candidates and nobody came forward to inquire the matter. The candidates have also filed RTI applications in various institutions outside state where from the selected candidates have got dubious certificates but to no avail. According to the dropped candidates, the selection list of candidates was published in a local daily namely 'ILHAQ' a four page urdu news paper with limited circulation in a bid to hush up the matter. Meanwhile Minister for health, Shabir Ahmad khan said that "the matter has not come to my notice yet and if I get information regarding this I will definitely take action in this regard." The director for NRHM mission, Dr Yashpal Sharma also said that he will look in to the matter provided the dropped candidates directly contact him immediately.
