| Despite Supreme Court ban illegal felling of trees continue: Sharief | | | Early Times Report
Badherwah, Feb 6: Youth Congress President, Bhaderwah, Nadeem Sharief has said that despite of Supreme Court ban, the illegal felling of green deodar and pine trees in Bhaderwah, Bhallessa and Chiralla is continue under the nose of administration. He said, "Green trees worth millions of rupees have been illegally chopped off in Bhadarwah forest division. The illegal large-scale felling of trees in Bhadarwah continues in connivance with forest officials." Sharief said, "The issue is not only about the felling of green Deodar, fir and pine trees, it is about the whole ecosystem, which is in danger. These mafias set forest on fire after felling the trees so that all clues regarding their illicit business are wiped up." Sharief said that this is a heinous crime and should not be tolerated and soon we will lodge complaint against the forest officials and contractors who are involved in green felling with concrete evidences. This ill business of green felling has being done for last many decades but always government has kept eyes closed. Forest is wealth of people of people of Bhaderwah bhalessa and chiralla and we will not allow goons and businessmen and forest officials to loot it. Nadeem Sharief said that all those people who are involved in such ill business should be put in jail.
