| Zonta, Kangue villages san electricity in 21st century | | | early times report
Kathua, Feb 6: Despite living in 21st century, nearly two dozen families of village Zonta and Kangue of panchayat Mahanpur (Basohli) are without electricity as successive governments have failed to live up with their promises.
Zonal President Baso-hali of Peoples Demo-cratic Party Joginder Singh alleged that MLAs and MPs have never bothered about the hardships faced by the people of the area since long.
"The apathy of government and the local politicians have forced the people of the area to stay away from electronic communication systems, as they cannot use equipments which run on electricity.
Even they have to walk 10 to 15 kilometers in search of electricity to get their mobile battery charged," he said. |
