| Reshmol Day observed at Anantnag | | | ANANTNAG: Reshmol Day was today observed with fervor and enthusiasm at Dak Bungalow, Khanabal today. People from different walks of life participated to pay home to the Saint Baba Hyder Reshi. Various religious scholars also spoke on the occasion about the contribution of the saint in propagating the Reshi culture. It was also given out during the deliberations that Baba Hyder Reshi who was born in village Dantar of Anantnag district had great miracles even during his childhood and had spent his life in complete in celibacy. The great saint had been disciple of Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom (RA) from who received religious education and spiritual inspirations. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone emphasized the significance of Sufi traditions and said that such traditions have been playing an important role in maintaining brotherhood and communal harmony. Dr. Lone also told that the district is bestowed with large number of shrines of these pious souls adding that the tomb of Baba Hyder Reshi popularly known as Resh Mol is visited by both Muslims and Hindus in large number. |
