Rs. 2164 Cr approved for district Srinagar under District Credit Plan

Srinagar: District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah today convened the DCC/District Level Review Committee meeting here today.
Giving the details of the achievements made under annul Action Plan for the year 2012-13 and other allied matters were deliberated and discussed in the meeting.
Lead District Manager, Mr. Nissar Ahmad Ahanger informed the meeting that an amount of Rs. 1339 Crore for establishment of 40005 units were disbursed by financial institutions under Priority & Non Priority sectors against a target of Rs. 1632 crores to 45313 units, registering overall achievement of 82 percent, as Agriculture & allied sector registered 57 percent, Small Enterprises 66 percent, Micro Credit 48 percent, Education 49 percent & Housing 36 percent.
Under the government sponsored schemes, Rs 37.43 crore to 4118 beneficiaries was disbursed against the target of Rs. 99.41 crores, registering an achievement of 84 percent unit wise and 38 percent in financial terms as on December 2012.
The Chairman approved the District Credit Plan of Rs. 2164 crores with a growth of 32 percent for the financial year 2013-14.
The meeting was also attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mrs. Ruhksana Gani, Reserve Bank of India, Mr. Ravinder Kual, heads of all line departments and District Co-ordinators of all banks operating in the district attended the meeting.
The District Development Commissioner said that to ensure greater credit flow, the Banks should implement the policies framed by the Reserve Bank of India in toto so that the dissemination of the credit is sped up. This will not only benefit the weaker
sections of the society but will also help in overall growth of our economy. He also stressed upon the need for increasing CD ratio of the Banks by improving the lending to weaker sections of the society.
The District Development Commissioner also conveyed to all the Bank/line Departments to perform particularly in order to achieve set Goals & the meeting ended with the vote of thanks to the chair.
