PULWAMA: Peace is the imperative for all the developments in the State, Member Parliament Dr. Mehboob Baigh called upon the students for cooperating with the government for peace and normalcy for continuing their studies.
The function was started after lighting the traditional lamp by the Member Parliament, Dr. Mehboob Baigh, District Development Commissioner, Pulwama Mr. Shafat Noor and Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Mr. Naveen Naik.
Dr. Mehboob Baigh was speaking on impressive function held at Town Hall Pulwama. The function was organized by the District Youth Coordinator NYK Pulwama. A large number of students both girls and boys were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Baigh stressed the importance of education in present days. He said that education should not become victim of politics. He said that students should be allowed to continue their studies without any hindrance, so that they become nation builders to compete within the state and national level.
Dr. Baigh said the hartals were badly affecting the function of the schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions. He said that is very important that the
educational institutions should continue to remain open to provide quality and moral education to the students.
The welcome address was given by District Coordinator, NYK, Mr. Nazir Ahmad.
Later, the MP distributed financial assistance of Rs. 1000/- each to nine youth clubs of Pulwama district for their social activities in various developments programme and also distributed momentous among 20 youth clubs of district Pulwama. |
