PULWAMA: Daylong legal awareness camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pulwama here today.
The Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Pulwama, Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Wani was the chief guest on the occasion.
Among others, Munsiff Sub Judicial Magistrate, Additional Superintendent of Police, Pulwama, NGO's, religious, representatives and journalists were also present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, the Chairman underscored the role of NGO's, religious scholars in curbing the hardships being faced by the women folk and children in the society. He emphasized that while discharging duties besides ensuring protection of the girl child, the talent of the girl child shall be exploited for their socio-economic development. The children especially girl Childs are the future of the society and should be guided and educated in a proper way to become respectable citizens.
He emphasized for educating the girl child and minimizing the dropout rate in education institutions. He urged the social and religious activists to work for the protection of women and child and ensure their equal rights. |
