| Members raise issues of public importance | | | JAMMU: As many as 20 Members raised the issues of public importance in the Legislative Assembly during the Zero Hour today. Mr. Harshdev Singh alleged misuse of services of PSOs and demanded rationalization of services of PSOs. Mr. Aijaz Jan demanded adequate funds for completion of road projects in Poonch. Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon demanded early commissioning of power project in Kargil. Mr. Yashpaul Kundal called for upgradation of electric infrastructure in Samba. Mr. G.M.Saroori demanded engagement of local manpower in the power projects in the Chenab Valley. Mr. Krishan Chander Bhagat demanded more administrative units in Chenani areas. Mrs. Indu Pawar called for setting up of ITI in Marh, whileas Mr. Ashok Kumar demanded regularization of Daily Wagers working in different Departments in Ramban district. Mr. Javed Dar demanded a survey to ascertain losses due to disease to the fruit bearing trees in his area. Mr. T. Namgyal demanded early filling up of vacant posts in health institutions in his area. Er. Rashid demanded streamlining the functioning of Kupwara Treasury, whereas Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ganai demanded sufficient funds for the modernization of canal in Sopore. Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia sought review of new recruitment policy, whileas Mr. Ashwani Sharma demanded special recruitment drive in Bishnah area. Mrs. Bimla Luthra demanded adequate number of hand pumps in Kandi areas to overcome the problem of drinking water. Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani demanded increasing the frequency of flights to Leh and Kargil. Aga Ruhulla Mehdi called for expeditious completion of road projects which have been taken up under NABARD in his constituency. Mr. Rashpal Singh, Mr. Charanjeet Singh and Mr. Mohammad Sharief Niaz also raised issues pertaining to their constituencies. |
