US cops kick off investigation

Guntar: The US police has launched investigations into the mysterious disappearance of Guntur-based software engineer P.V. Sarath Kumar using the CCTV camera footage available at the Holy Memorial Park in Washington. Sarath Kumar went missing from this park.
The police is also checking his call records to find out from whom he had received phone calls before he went missing. The TCS legal department at Chicago is also mounting pressure on the Washington police to speed up investigations in the case.
Sarath Kumar’s father P. Venkata Krishna Murthy said that he had received a phone call from his relatives in the US to this effect. He also said that Washington police had made it clear that no untoward incident had taken place near the White House. He said his relatives in the US and TANA representatives are also trying to trace Sarath Kumar. Although the US police has started investigatios they have not been able to make any breakthroughs so far.
Meanwhile, M.P. Rayapati Sambasiva Rao visited Sarath Kumar’s father Krishna Murthy and his mother Radha at their residence in A.T. Agraharam. He also sought details of Sarath Kumar in the US. Krishna Murthy submitted a memorandum to Rayapati to take steps to trace his son in Washington. Rayapati assured him that he would extend all co-operation to trace Sarath Kumar.
Speaking to reporters, later Rayapati Sambasiva Rao said that he would write a letter to minister of external affairs Salman Khurshid to take steps to trace Sarath Kumar and added that the ministry will write a letter to the United States embassy in India.
He said that he would seek the co-operation of TANA representatives too.
