| DC Kulgam inspects Rs. 6 Cr WS scheme | | | KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Jehangir Mir Thursday inspected Yamrach-Daderkoot Water Supply Scheme coming up at an estimated cost of over Rs. 6 crore. During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner had a brief on the status of the project. He was told that the project on completion will facilitate 9,000 souls inhabiting 13 villages including Behibagh. Mr. Jehangir stressed on expeditious completion of the project to extend potable water supply to the people in the area on time. He said no stone should be left unturned in completing the project as per the design with focus on installing all modern equipment especially at the filtration plant under execution in Behibagh village. The Deputy Commissioner also inspected PHC Behibagh and Government High School and took stock of their functioning. He asked the medicos to ensure proper sanitation both within and outside the hospital premises so that patients receive palatable environment. He also stressed on maintaining medical ethics while treating the sick and infirm. During the visit of the School, Mr. Jehangir asked the teachers to be punctual and teach the students with professionalism making use of modern teaching aids. He said every teacher is duty bound to impart education with sincerity and nurture the human resources with utmost responsibility. The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineer PHE besides other field officers. |
