| Govt fails to regularize workers wages : WWA | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Apr 4 : PHE Workers Welfare Association (WWA), Jammu Province today stated the state government has failed to regularize the wages of workers of the department. Leading a protest demonstration in the office premises of Chief Engineer PHE, Jammu, the president PHE WWA, Bakshi Singh the workers have been demanding their regularization services. He further demanded implementation of enhanced wages Rs. 150, 175 and Rs. 225 as per SRO-3 for unskilled and ITI semi-skilled and skilled workers respectively. Subash Verma, Provincial, General Secretary of the association while addressing to the employees as strongly condemned the black Govt. circular no. 09-gad of 2013 dated 26-03- 2013 and criticized the state government for such unfair unjustified. He stressed the government to revoke the said circular without any further delay to avoid any type of confrontation. He assured the low paid workers of the department that their rights for job will be fully protected. He warned the government to resolve all the pending issues of the employees by April 14, otherwise the association will go for 2 days protest Dharna. The association has also burnt the copy of black circular of GAD Department related to this engagement discontinuation of daily related workers engaged after year 1994. |
