GANDERBAL: For the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2013 (SANJAY) via Baltal. Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Mr. Sarmad Hafiz today convened a meeting of officers to take stock of the arrangements made for the Yatra which shall commence from June 28, 2013. Among others, S.P Ganderbal, Chief Planning Officer besides officers of district administration attended the meeting. Threadbare discussion was held for making arrangements in connection with the adequate supply of essentials, transport facilities, drinking water, power supply, medicare facilities, availability of firewood, sanitation, besides macadamization of roads and snow clearance upto Holy Cave via Baltal. It was given out in the meeting that about 1900 quintals of rice, 1500 quintals of atta, 775 quintals of sugar, 88000 litres of kerosene oil besides 18000 cylinders of LPG shall be made available at different halting stations during the Yatra. It was also informed that 3000 quintals of firewood shall also be kept available. Registration of as many as 13000 ponies have been made by the Department of Animal Husbandry besides for medicare facilities 40 doctors and 160 para medicare shall be deployed for smooth conduct of Yatra in the district. Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon the officers for putting up all efforts and work in coordination for smooth conduct of Yatra in the district. |
